Swedish newspaper Fotboll Expressen says Hertha are desperate to bring in some fresh blood in January in their battle against relegation this season.
The 32-year-old joined AEK Athens from Basel in the summer of 2008 and has become a key player a the Greek side.
Hertha are reportedly ready to make a €1.5million bid for the Swedish international.
