Goodwin’s contract at St Mirren was set to expire in the summer.
The former Celtic star had recently been linked with a move to Hibs.
Goodwin said at the weekend: “I’m enjoying my time here and I’m desperately trying to get back fit to get in the team, because I love playing for this club.”
