Andrew Johnson hit a double to earn Fulham the win.
Hodgson said: “I am quite happy now with 11 points from nine games at this stage of the season.
“It was a very important victory in what is going to be a tough season – I thought we created more chances and deserved to win.
“I felt Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora were a constant threat and hopefully they will continue to work well together.
“Now I hope we can take this kind of form into our next game against Everton.”
