Sigurdsson is becoming a key player at Hoffenheim and scored in the 2-2 draw against Kaiserslautern at the weekend.
“The manager sent me onto the pitch and told me to take the free-kick. It was the perfect time to score, given that we were 2-1 behind. However, I would have preferred to take all three points instead of scoring a goal. We can still be content with the hard earned point we did win though,” said Sigurdsson on the official Hoffenheim website.
“Of course I want to play my way into the starting line-up, that’s what every player wants to do. However, it is still going to take a little time as I get used to the style of play. We have a very strong team who won our first three matches. Hopefully, our good form can continue until the end of the season.
“The match against Bayern will provide a huge challenge. Bayern are one of the biggest and best teams in the world. Hopefully the stadium will be sold out so the fans can really get behind the team. Then it will be a truly emotional and exciting game.”
