Jeffers, a former Arsenal player, was released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season and played for Blackpool in their friendly game against Accrington Stanley on Tuesday.
“He’s only been with us for two days,” Holloway told Sky Sports News.
“Obviously he’s been quality in the past, but things didn’t work out for him last year. We’ve given him a chance to show me what he can do.”
