The 36-year-old has become a regular in the Pompey side during the second half of the season after returning from a career-threatening Achilles injury.
“I want to stay, that’s for sure,” he told the News.
“There are no negotiations going on but I have told them how I feel. I’ve told them I want to stay, so I am just waiting for them.
“I’m not quite sure what will happen next. I just hope we will sit down. I want to stay, I feel good and I am enjoying it here.”
