He said: “I don’t think we are getting the respect we deserve but maybe I’m a bit paranoid. We don’t go out to bang our own drum but sometimes you feel you have to – and it’s not for myself but for all the staff at this club.
“They deserve recognition for what they have done and what they are trying to achieve. That’s the reason why we sometimes feel we have to bang the drum. Don’t forget, at one point we were bottom of the league but have turned our season around.
“It’s important everyone at this club knows what we are trying to do and what we have had to put up with.
“If that brings us closer as a group, so be it.”
