Mourinho insists he believes they will beat Roma on Sunday.
“I see a game we can win, without doubt,” said Mourinho in his Press conference. “Roma are strong on home turf, are six points behind us already and don’t want to extend that gap to nine points.
“Luciano Spalletti’s work speaks for him. He had a few unexpected defeats at the start, but he has the support of everyone thanks to the quality of what he has done for this team.
“I saw Roma when I was working abroad and really liked them. The side plays quality football, proving you can play well and win. However, this is a team we can beat.”
He added: “Afraid? I don’t know what fear is in football. Some people forget I have won four League titles in my career and know full well how to succeed in these competitions.
“You win when you reach the final round with more points than any other team. You do not win a League by winning the derby or just the games where you are the favourites. One needs consistency and to avoid dropping stupid points.”
