The Nerazzurri will face Manchester United at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the first leg of their Champions League second round clash on Tuesday.
“Everyone knows Ferguson is one of the best coaches around with the titles he has won in the Champions League and the English Premier League,” he told The Sun.
“But Mourinho is from a different planet. He is amazing, fantastic. I don’t think there is any manager on Earth like him.
“Both are probably the best coaches in the world at the moment. But I firmly believe there are hidden qualities in players that Mourinho brings out.
“Michael Essien, who is my close friend, told me this during Mourinho’s days at Chelsea and I thought that was an exaggeration.
“But I am seeing it with my own eyes now. My self-belief has grown tremendously and now I make more daring moves than I used to do.
“He brings out the best in all his players. A classic example apart from me is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who a lot of people had ruled out before Jose came.
“But he is now probably the most prolific scorer in Europe this season. Mourinho has brought out the best in his players and that’s what will be on display when both teams meet.”
