The Italian giants have been in contact with Agger’s agent Per Steffensen, according to News of the World.
The 24-year-old is still refusing to extend his current contract with the Reds, which ends in 2010.
Agger said: “If I don’t play, it’s untenable. My situation is that Rafa Benitez doesn’t want to let me play — it irritates me when I don’t play.”
