Mancini said: “Adriano won’t be part of the 18 man squad. If I were to crack a joke then I could tell you that Adriano has been left out because he went to the disco last night.
“But joking aside, he unfortunately still hasn’t made a complete recovery from the thigh injury that we were hoping was less serious. We hope to have him back for the next match against Milan.
“As for the game tomorrow, I’m pleased with how the team played in the first leg before Valencia’s first goal.
“We had missed a lot of chances and we slowed down a bit after their first equaliser. We then picked up. We can win tomorrow if we’re a bit more careful.”
