Cassano is expected to depart Sampdoria after a bust up with their owner Riccardo Garrone, whilst Fabregas has long been linked with a move away from Arsenal back to home town club Barcelona.
On the Spaniard, Moratti said “I do not think so” when the suggestion was put that Inter could sign him, whilst he said of Cassano “(he) is undoubtedly a great player, I read in the papers that we have taken steps (to sign him), but I do not think so.”
