The midfielder has been linked with a move to Portsmouth and his current contract with Ipswich is set to expire at the end of the season.
“David Norris hasn’t told me he wants to join Portsmouth,” he said.
“I will be sitting down later in the week with some of the players out of contract this summer.
“I want to keep our better players here, but if people, young or old, do not want to be here, they can move on.
“But David Norris has definitely not intimated to me that he wants to leave.
“It’s a problem I’ve inherited. If the players are here to the end of the season I would expect them to give their best and I’m sure they will.”
