The Israel midfielder’s agent has revealed his client is desperate for a move to Parkhead.
“There have been discussions but nothing has happened yet,” Dudu Dahan told the Scottish Sun.
“Celtic is a very famous club in Israel. Biram would be willing to go to Celtic for 30 to 50 per cent less money than he’d get from other clubs after him.
“Galatasaray and Twente can offer a lot more money, but when Celtic came into the picture, we ended their interest as we thought they were the best club to go to.
“We’ll have more opportunities if this doesn’t happen, but both parties want it to happen.
“I think the picture will be a lot more clearer in the next couple of days though.”
