Jacobsen signed a one-year deal with the Toffees when he joined them from Nurnberg last summer, but has been struggling with a long-term injury this season.
“There is interest from other clubs, but Lars’ first option would be to stay at Everton,” Karsten Aabrink told the club’s official website.
“He feels he has returned to the level he was at before the injury and he is pleased with how David Moyes has treated him.
“I think the situation is positive. We have close contact with Everton and we probably have a meeting around the FA Cup final and take it from there.”
