Juninho left Lyon last summer to join Qatari side Al-Gharafa, but is keen on a move back to the Stade Gerland.
“I shall soon be 36 years old and I’m already focused on the end of the Qatari league. Now to go back to OL as a player is impossible. But yes, I will prepare myself to do something with Lyon, although I will not give a date for stopping my playing career,” the Brazilian told France Football.
“I do not see myself with a specific job, but rather with a participatory role in helping the team and the coach who is there. We will try to find that role, but I must think if that’s really what I want to do.
“I made history with Lyon. Inevitably, the doors remain open. But I do not want to go back to OL because I am one of their best players, I want to go back to take a role that I feel capable of doing, and that pleases me.”
