“Milan are a great side and they are European champions, which you don’t achieve by chance,” said Ranieri. “In the second half of the season they will climb up the table place by place, but right now they also have to think about the Club World Cup.
“Playing Milan is an amazing motivation and to go to the San Siro just gives that little extra emotion.
“These are the kind of classics that every player wants to take part in. It will be a difficult game but a great one.
“We come to the game on good form and we are growing, we haven’t come to be beaten as we always go out to win in these top of the table clashes.
“We are looking to prolong their winless run at the San Siro, but Milan have time to turn things around. We need to show humility and play a really great game.”
