Del Piero’s agent has revealed that the striker has rejected an approach from the Premier League.
Del Piero has recently been strongly linked with moves to the likes of Blackburn and Queens Park Rangers.
The 37-year-old’s contract at Juventus expires at the end of the season and the Italian side has revealed the striker will not be offered a new deal.
“I think he can go there,” said Del Piero’s agent Enzo Bronzetti in the Daily Star. “American football is said to have been on the rise for years, but now it is.
“In the last few days the leaders of Seattle, Chicago came to Italy and now come those of the Galaxy. Del Piero is highly respected in the United States.
“For Spain and England, I really do not see it. I know there was already an approach (from the Premier League), but with the Americans…”
