Melo had a poor first season at Juventus since joining Fiorentina in 2009 and was linked with a move away from the club.
“I was very close to joining Inter, even when I played for Fiorentina,” he told La Stampa.
“After last season I could have left, but not anymore.
“I am a Bianconero, and the more time goes by, the more I am tied to Juventus.”
