Kapo has failed to make an impact at the JJB Stadium in his debut season.
“I feel I am at a turning point in my career,” Kapo told L’Equipe.
“I didn’t play a lot last season and I was not happy at Wigan.
“I now want to leave and I would like to go back to France. I want to show that the Kapo from the Auxerre period has not been banished.”
Kapo’s contract with Wigan expires in 2011.
