The 28-year-old joined the Latics from Birmingham for £3.5million last summer.
Kapo has been pushed out of the team by Charles N’Zogbia, who joined the Latics from Newcastle in the January transfer window.
“I have never felt good at Wigan,” he conceded. “I am going through the worst spell of my career.
“I’m not getting game, and the worst part of it is that I’m being judged not on my footballing abilities, but on hearsay.
“I almost signed a deal with Everton, but it fell through at the last minute because people spoke about me and sullied my name.
“I would love to go out on loan now in order to play matches.”
