“We are very happy to have started the Champions League with three points because we knew that it wouldn’t be easy here tonight. The team deserved their win”, Klinsmann said after the match.
“In the first half we controlled the game and hardly allowed them any chances. We should have scored a second goal but then we went quiet.
“In the second half we sat back a little but we still had chances to make it 2-0. A bit of luck was missing but we took a step forward and the team has grown. It was very important to take three points tonight.”
