Kone, who joined the Spanish side from PSV last summer, is keen on getting a place in the Ivory Coast squad for the World Cup finals and is in need of more first-team action.
“After my grave injury I need to play a lot of minutes and this is not possible at Sevilla today,” he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“I want to fight for a place in the Ivory Coast squad for the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup, but without playing it is impossible.”
