Larsson delighted with Birmingham form

The Hong Kong businessman took control of Birmingham in October and the Blues has managed to climb up the Premier League table.

Birmingham managed a 3-2 win at Wigan on Saturday, in a game where Larsson scored twice.

“People got excited when the new owners came in, and rightly so, and around about that point we started picking up points and doing well,” said Larsson.

“The feel-good factor is back. Confidence is sky high and everyone is obviously buzzing.

“We have shown for ourselves we’re good enough for this league and we’re good enough to do well.

“Compared to a couple of seasons ago, in this kind of game we would have conceded a goal and maybe not been able to have come back from it.

“But this season, we’ve the belief we can.”

But Larsson insists their main focus is to avoid relegation.

“The main thing is to stay up,” said Larsson.

“We’ve not even played half of the season, but we’ve had a great start and now we want to push on to make sure we’re safe as soon as possible.

“Once we are safe, then we can worry about other stuff. Right now we want to pick up the points and see how far it will take us.

“If we do well then the table will take care of itself.”
