Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Lazio could make a move for Meira in the January transfer window.
Lazio are looking to strengthen their defence in January and have previously been linked with players such as Diego Lugano and Joao Miranda.
The 32-year-old has become a key player at Zenit since joining the club from Galatasaray in March 2009.
