Lotito told Sky Sport: “In the end, we got what we wanted and so did Oddo, who had made it clear that he wanted to leave Rome.
“Lazio had to make a decision and our staff believed that the player could not be fielded as he was not in the right mood.
“Therefore, we decided to sell him at a price that we considered adequate. We found an agreement that pleased Oddo, who grew up with Milan, the Rossoneri and ourselves.
“The player was a target for various sides, but seeing the relationship that I have with Adriano Galliani we decided to grant his wish.
“It wasn’t strange for me to see him in a Milan shirt. I have always stated that we are all important, but no one is indispensable.”
