The Italy defender has been linked with a move to AC Milan this month, and Biancocelesti coach Delio Rossi has decided to leave Oddo on the bench for the game tonight.
Rossi said: “It’s just a technical choice, of which I take all responsibilities.
“Why am I dropping Oddo? I can’t allow those who have declared their desire to go to another club play.
“Only players who think about Lazio 24 hours a day can play in my team. The fact we are facing the club that is negotiating with Oddo is clear.
“But the decision would have been the same if we were facing Inter or Ascoli.”
