Le Guen said: “The Bardsley situation is in the past. Now it is up to him to show that he can behave well and have a good spirit in the team. He must learn his lesson.
“I called Sir Alex Ferguson because he is their player and he is on loan to us. I felt it was my job to keep him informed.
“I will think about him in the future by taking into account good behaviour and, most importantly, good behaviour on the pitch.”
