Lennon, who took charge of St Mirren in 2010, admits he was flattered to have recently been linked with the job as Hibernian manager.
“They are coming along very, very nicely and I’m hoping, come the early part of next week, that will be concluded,” said Lennon.
“It’s always flattering that you’re getting linked with so-called bigger clubs and bigger budgets.
“But I have a fantastic job here and one that I’m only halfway through. And I’m very, very determined to finish it.”
Lennon insists there is more to come from his St Mirren side.
“It’s always nice your club is getting spoken about in the correct manner,” he said. “And it’s great that we are sitting in the top half of the table. That’s certainly going to be our aim throughout.
“But outwith that you can see there are other good things happening about the club, with Craig Samson getting his (Scotland) call-up and wee Kenny Mclean getting the young player of the month award.
“There are good quality youngsters coming through and wonderful supporters. We’re putting more bums on seats so there is something there that they’re enjoying.”
