The 26-year-old Malian international midfielder told L’Equipe: “Last season I had contacts.
“The interest from Internazionale was very serious.
“My agent went to Milan but the case of match fixing slowed down the negotiations leaving doubts about the future of the club.”
He added: “I also had contact with Tottenham.
“The coach wanted to keep me here, the chairman gave his agreement for me to leave next summer so it is up to me. To go higher I need to be good on the pitch.”
