Leonardo backs Kombouaré

Jean Fernandez’s men recorded a shock win, the second of the season for the big spending Parisians, piling more pressure onto Kombouaré, who was rumoured to be on his way out a fortnight ago despite taking the team to the top of the league.

“It’s a defeat, but it’s not the first”, said Leonardo.

“Now there’s an important week before the match with Marseille. There are many things to do. When you lose a game it is always sad, but we also did a lot of positive things.

“With the coach and the dressing room everything is clear.

“The group knows what’s going to happen.

“Antoine Kombouare has the full confidence of the club. In four months he has done many good things.”
