Payet has undergone surgery on his knee, after having struggled in recent weeks.
“He has had surgery, he has been bothered by his knee,” said Lille coach Rudia Garcia.
“He has been bothered by it and needed strapping on it, but when he removed it he felt pain again.
“Now according the surgeon everything has gone well and at least now his head will be right knowing it is okay now.”
