Plasil has recently been linked with moves to the likes of Lille and Lyon.
“When there is an offer of Champions League football, of course that is attractive,” he told L’Equipe of reports linking him with a move away from Bordeaux.
“But the chairman has told me that he doesn’t want me to leave. We will see what happens.
“An extension to my contract? We are in talks. We will talk again after training this week.
“In football you never know what will happen, but I believe a new contract is possible.”
