The new deal will keep the 26-year-old at Lille until the summer of 2015, according to L’Equipe.
Mavuba’s previous deal was set to expire at the end of the 2012 season.
Mavuba joined Lille from Villarreal in January 2008 on loan, but the move became permanent.
