Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly set to go head-to-head in the pursuit of PSV’s electrifying winger Johan Bakayoko.
Voetbalkrant reports that beside Liverpool and City there is Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also in the mix, intensifying the race for the Belgian prodigy.
Bakayoko, who had been on Liverpool’s radar since last summer, has remained committed to PSV, aiming to conclude what is anticipated to be his final season with the Dutch giants.
Despite a contract running until 2026, PSV seems poised to part ways with the 20-year-old this summer, with a bidding frenzy expected to push his valuation north of €40m (£34m).
The Belgian international’s stellar season, highlighted by his contribution of six goals and a remarkable 13 assists, has not only solidified his status in the Eredivisie but has also attracted the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.
