Real Madrid has officially announced that they have successfully extended the contract of the young Brazilian sensation Rodrygo.
The youngster will remain with the club until the summer of 2028.
The skillful forward, who made a splash in European football following his arrival in 2019 at just 18, has risen through the ranks from his early days with Real Madrid Castilla to scoring in his debut with the first team.
Rodrygo’s tenure with Madrid has seen him turn into a key player for the squad, netting 39 goals across 179 matches and being instrumental in the club clinching eight prestigious titles.
The titles include a coveted Champions League crown, two La Liga victories, and most recently, the Copa del Rey in 2023 where his decisive two-goal performance earned him the final’s Most Valuable Player accolade.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent months, with the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle United showing an interest.
But Real Madrid’s long-term commitment to Rodrygo highlights their confidence in his abilities and their intention to continue shaping a winning team around emerging talents.
