Benitez said: “You know my idea and that is to use all the players I have.
“If they are training well – and Crouch has been training well – then you can use them.
“One striker is not better than the others because they are all different.
“In a top side, if you want to fight for every trophy, you need quality. Sometimes it’s not easy, but we will have injuries and problems, so they will all play a lot of games.
“If you are at a normal club, you could play 40 games in a season. A top club will play 60 and everybody will play 35 or 40.
“We’ve only played three league games of the season, so now is not the time for anyone to worry about their place. Now is the time for all the players to be ready because they will be needed.”
