Aldridge has told the Liverpool Echo that the Reds fans are right to be angry, following the poor start to the season.
Aldridge wrote in his column in the Liverpool Echo: “It’s been another miserable weekend, filled with unhappy Liverpool supporters.
“There are lots of angry Reds at present, Reds looking to vent and to express their frustrations.
“I don’t blame them.
“It’s not good at the moment, it really isn’t. Performances are poor, and the last two results have been awful.”
Aldridge added on Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United on Saturday: “We looked, quite frankly, like a team that has lost its identity. I’m not sure what we were trying to do to win the game.”
