The Reds are keen on signing the 22-year-old after being impressed following Shain’s displays for Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season.
Juventus and Inter Milan are also reportedly keeping tabs on the German-born Turkey international.
TalkSport reports that Dortmund will refuse to sell the youngster in January, but could be prepared to sell for around £13million in the summer.
