The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is considering signing Reges as a replacement for Lucas Leiva.
Leiva is out of action for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury.
Porto value the 24-year-old at around £17million, but Liverpool could be tempted into making a January move for the midfielder.
