The 21-year-old has recently been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle.
“First I want to emphasise that I’m happy at Twente,” De Jong told Fifa’s official website.
“But every footballer has dreams, me included. One is to play in a major international competition and the Premier League would also be a great challenge.
“You do not know what will happen.”
De Jong’s current contract with FC Twente is set to expire in the summer of 2014.
