Johnson missed the clash with Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday due to illness.
Johnson was admitted to hospital due to severe pain on the right side of his face and jaw.
But the 29-year-old has now been discharged from hospital, following scans whiched showed signs of a localised infection.
Johnson is expected to return to training in the next few days.
