Liverpool striker Torres struggling with icy climate

He said: “One of the things I have learnt in England is you have to get up earlier than you expect.

“And that’s to scrape the ice off your car!

“It’s very cold I would say this is the coldest I have been in my life. But I am really loving playing in England.

“There’s more for me to do in terms of learning about the local customs and the style of play in England.

“But I would say my football style is developing here and there is more to come.

“I believe football in England is better. It’s more attractive than in Spain, I would say, and certainly faster — and more physical.

“The progress of the game is slower and there are a lot more fouls in Spain.

“The football here is more dynamic and it is more fun for the team and the individuals.”
