The two-year contract extension will keep Lovren at Lyon until the summer of 2016.
“Olympique Lyonnais welcomes the new long-term agreement for Dejan Lovren, who, at 22, is one of the young players in which l’O.L. intends to rely on going forward,” a statement on the club’s official website read.
Lovren joined Lyon from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2010 for an undisclosed fee.
