Makoun scored the only goal of the game in the Champions League clash.
“I am very happy with my strike and also the performance of the team in this important game,” he told Sky Sports.
“We needed to go to the Bernabeu in two weeks time with at least something to play for.
“We know it will be difficult there but we gave ourselves a chance to show we are ready for a fight.
“We can score there I think, they are very talented up front but we can play on the counter and punish their mistakes.
“We know they will go for it as usual – it is great for us to be going there with a lead and not conceding at home.”
