Lyon are looking into the possibility of signing Georginio Rutter from Championship side Leeds United.
Leeds are reportedly willing to sell the France youth international, if they can recoup their investment on the youngster.
Rutter arrived from Hoffenheim in a groundbreaking £35.5 million deal earlier this year.
Borussia Dortmund’s overtures to Leeds for Rutter’s services earlier in the summer were firmly brushed aside, according to Sky Sports News.
Dortmund’s proposal, hovering around £25 million, didn’t quite tick the right boxes.
With the departure of Bradley Barcola on the horizon, Lyon has locked its sights on Rutter to fill the gap.
Rutter tops the list of candidates Lyon is diligently pursuing. However, for the deal to materialize, it’s imperative that the terms align to prevent Leeds from incurring a financial loss.
