Barry joined City from Villa in 2009 in a deal worth £12million.
“I’m looking forward to the game immensely,” said Barry.
“The initial reception at Villa Park was a bit frosty for me but I think it has all settled down now.
“I’m not expecting too much of a rough ride. The way the league’s been, if it carries on as it has with teams dropping points, I don’t see why we can’t be right up there.
“We have to improve at home, break teams down and hopefully that can start against Villa.
“Our best performances have probably been away where the onus is on teams to attack us and there is more space for us to play.”
