Man City keeper targets return

Given dislocated his shoulder against Arsenal last weekend.

“I could take a physio on holiday when we go away,” he said in the News of the World.

“The rehab will go on all through the summer. It will start with movement work, then the bike and move on from there.

“I just have to get back fit again for the start of the season. I know it will be tight but I will do everything I can to get back in time and hopefully I will do it.

“The shoulder was popped out for an hour when I did it and I was having oxygen in the ambulance. The pain was pretty bad and as a goalkeeper you then have to have the operation to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

“The surgeon Andrew Wallace is really pleased with how the operation went. He’s operated on David James and Petr Cech in the past and they both made full recoveries.

“Next year will be a massive one at City and we could have Champions League football so I want to be back for it.”
