Silva sustained an ankle injury in Sunday’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester United and missed the midweek Carling Cup clash with Liverpool.
“David did a bit of running on Thursday and will do a bit more on Friday,” said Platt.
“Hopefully he will be back on the training pitch on Saturday.”
