The Dutch side are keen to bring in the 19-year-old striker on loan.
His agent Per Jonsson told Fotbollskanalen: “It’s been a target of ours to find him a club. City really wanted to keep him during the summer and the idea of him going out on loan, where he will be involved, is a good solution.
“The thing is that he needs to get games – that’s the situation we are in now.”
QPR have also been linked with a move for the striker, but the club have recently completed the signings of strikers Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell.
“I don’t want to comment on specific clubs,” Jonsson added. “QPR have already bought a number of strikers already. But we are close to finding a solution.”
